    Langtang is the third popular trekking in Nepal after Annapurna and Everest regions. Langtang Heritage Trekking in Nepal trail starts either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi.     Langtang Heritage Trail

    Langtang Heritage trek starts from early morning drive to Shyapru Besi. Trekkers pass through different Tamang villages on the hillside with the traditional stone houses with beautiful mountain view.

    Langtang Heritage Trek Distance

    Normally, distance is not measured in km/miles in any region for trekking in Nepal. We measure distance as per walking hours. In average, 5-6 hours is normal walking distance for trekking. Distance does not include trekker’s tea / coffee break, lunch break and any kind of rest during trekking.

    Trekking Without a guide

    Trekking in Nepal without a guide is possible but there are some restricted areas which is not possible to trek without a guide. Government has banned certain area for trekking in Nepal without a guide. People from different countries have been trekking without a guide in many unrestricted areas from the beginning. Travelers are suggested to take a guide for their safety, avoid language problem and for navigation.

    Trekking route

    Trekking in Nepal is easy as well as difficult depending up on the route, age and fitness level of the trekkers. According to your age and fitness level you can choose the itinerary and / or customize it.

    There are various routes available for trekking in Nepal in different parts of the country. Some routes have local tea-houses and in some route you need to take tents and kitchen equipments. In popular routes you will find many tea houses with good facilities but less popular routes can provide tea houses with only basic needs. Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, Langtang Valley etc are famous trekking routes. Though there are many tea houses in these famous routes you may need to adjust in dining hall in peak tourist season.

    The prices of food & accommodation vary as per their location & mode of transportation available in that region. Almost all trekking routes are fine for every season but months are divided as peak season & off-season as per vacation in different countries in the world. There isn’t any month in which trekkers cannot trek in Nepal so you can choose as per your convenient. If you love to travel with many other nature lovers and health conscious the Autumn & Spring (peak season) will be best for you and if you love greenery Monsoon is better otherwise rest of the months will be favorable to you.

    Trekking Cost

    Trekking Cost depends upon different conditions, (i) region (ii) number of trekking days (iii) category (iv) Trekking location (v) mode of transportation available. The cost is different according to the region, like Everest is expensive because it is popular as well as cargo is needed to be carried by flight and Upper Mustang is expensive because it is restricted by the Nepal Government and special permission needed, where Dhaulagiri is expensive because it is in very remote area. Days spending for trekking in Nepal also lead to raise or decrease cost. The prices of food & accommodation vary as per their location & mode of transportation available in that region. The cost also differs in category such as tea-houses or camping trekking because we need to carry almost everything in camping trek. Trekking below 3000 m elevation is cheaper comparatively to higher elevation trekking in Nepal.

    Trekking in Nepal advice

    There are many people who come to Nepal to add an adventure and gain full exciting moments in their lives. It is better not to judge yourself and have ‘Yes I Can’ attitude for any trekking in Nepal. You need to motivate yourself to complete any kind of trekking in any season. Whatever the motivation is, it will help you to enjoy your time during trekking. There is no competition if you are trekking in Nepal; just feel that you love nature, your own health and want to spend time in the company of people with beautiful smile.

    Dehydration is only problem faced by the normal trekkers so drink water regularly and keep moving as per normal itinerary which helps your body to adjust the altitude. But if you have any problem of medical condition such as high blood pressure, heart conditions, neurological disorders, asthma, pregnancy, epilepsy, artificial limbs, previous dislocation, recent strains, recent breaks or recent surgery requiring stitches then you have to consult with the doctor before trekking in Nepal.

    Best time of years

    The best time for trekking in Nepal begins and lasts throughout the year. In autumn and spring season, you can see open sky with the clear view of mountains. In monsoon season, the way is full of greenery. In winter season, you can see incredible scenery. Therefore, you can choose any season for trekking in Nepal as per your convenient. If you love to travel with many other nature lovers and health conscious the Autumn & Spring (peak season) will be best for you and if you love greenery, Monsoon is better. So, you can choose the season as per your interest.

    Day 1: Arrival

    Our representative will meet you at Tribhuban International Airport, Kathmandu and then transfer you to your hotel. You will be briefed about trekking and each day program. Permits & TIMS will be handover to you either the same day of arrival or next day.

    Day 2: Drive to Shyaphru Besi (1460m)

    We drive to Shyaphru early in the morning which is a starting point for Langtang trekking. It takes about 8-9 hours by public bus. The road takes us to the beautiful village at the foot of the mountains. We may be able to get a glimpse of Ganesh Himal after driving along the Trishuli River and descend to the small village of Shyapbru Besi.

    Day 3: Trek to Ghatlang (2238m)

    On the first day of our trekking, we trek through Rongga Bhanjyang (2237m). On the way we can see Goljung village, Nagthali village. We pass through Chaurhattar (2270m), Palche (2180m) and reach Ghatlang which is the beautiful Tamang village on the hillside with traditional stone houses. It is a local village.

    Day 4: Trek to Tatopani (2607m)

    This is a long day trekking. We walk around 7 hours to reach Tatopani which means “Hot Water” in Nepali. We descend to Thangbuche first by Bhotekoshi River and pass by the Chilime Hydropower Dam.

    Day 5: Trek to Nagthali Ghyang (3165m)

    On this day, we pass through the dense alpine forest. We trek via Brimdang (2848m) to reach Nagthali. We can enjoy views of Langtang, Sanjen Kerung, Ganesh Himal and some mountains located in China. We trek uphill to the Tamang village of Nagthali and spend the night.

    Day 6: Rest Day / Acclimatization Day

    Today is the rest day. You will explore the village with the beautiful views of mountains.

    Day 7: Trek to Briddhim (2229m)

    On this day, we trek downhill to Thuman (2338m) and from Thuman we head toward Ling Ling (1737m) along the Bhote Koshi River. From Ling Ling to Briddhim, there is an uphill way. Briddim is a Tibetan Buddhist village, ideally located on the lap of the Langtang Himal. Here, we visit the Dukchu Gomba Monastery.

    Day 8: Trek to Shyaphru

    After breakfast, we descend down to Syabrubesi which is just 3hrs walk from Briddim and stay tonight.

    Day 9: Back to Kathmandu

    We come back to Kathmandu on this day which can take around 4hours drive.

    Day 10: Departure

    Today is the last day of our memorable trip. You are free until your airport reporting time and we take you to airport for outbound flight back to your destination.
