Day 01: Kathmandu - Zhangmu (2,500m / 125 Km)
Early morning drive to Kodari. After completing all the immigration formalities at Nepal & China border drive to the up hill to reach Zhangmu. Check in at hotel. Enjoy the pleasant Zhangmu climate. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Zhangmu - Xegar (4,050m / 244 Km)
Drive to Xegar crossing Nyalam (3,800m) and Lulung (5,050m) passes. The journey is an absolute dream for all nature lovers as one gets stunning views of the high Himalayas including the great Mt. Everest. This journey is long but the entire stretch of 244 km is full of wonderful sceneries. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Xegar - Shigatse (3,900m / 244 Km)
The day is set for another long journey through the sublime landscapes of Tibet. The remaining day can be spent on their own. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Shigatse - Gyantse (3,950m / 90 Km)
The distance between Shigatse and Gyantse is not much. The 90 km stretch can easily be covered in 2 hrs. So before leaving Shigatse, visit the enchanting Tashilhunpo Monastery and the free market. We continue our drive to Gyantse. In the evening, visit the Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Gyantse - Lhasa (3,650m / 261 Km)
After a sumptuous Tibetan breakfast, drive towards the capital city of Lhasa through Karo Pass (5,010m), Kamba Pass (4,794m) and Yamdruk Lake. Remove all the exhaustions of the long drive by resting for the night in the calm atmosphere of the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06: In Lhasa
Lhasa is a city full of surprises and fantasies. The day is for exploring the attractions of the city, there will be a full day sightseeing city tour, visiting Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: In Lhasa
Even after a full day of touring inside the city, there are still a lot of places that are yet to be covered. This day as well is set aside for sightseeing inside the city. Explore Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: Lhasa - Kathmandu
After breakfast, move on to airport for boarding the flight for onward destination.
